Cape Town offers consistent and reliable wind conditions from November to March. The strong southeasterly wind (20-35+ knots), known as the "Cape Doctor," provides optimal kitesurfing conditions, ensuring plenty of opportunities for exhilarating sessions on the water.
The unique blend of exceptional kitesurfing conditions, stunning landscapes, great food, a big kite community, and diverse activities make it a must-visit destination for every kitesurfer.
During the camp you will get a daily kite coaching. No matter if you are a total beginner on the directional kiteboard or you want to improve your overall riding. The goal is that you gonna leave this week with lots of personal progression.

Kitesurfing | Advanced Levels only
This week is full of kite action and the conditions in Cape Town can be though. To participate in the wave camp you have to be an intermediate/advanced kiter. Self-rescue shouldn't be a foreign word for you.
No Wind Activities
The area around Cape Town has plenty of no-wind activies. Hiking up Table Mountain, enjoying a historical sightseeing tour, visiting local markets or the Cape of Good Hope. It won't get boring, we promise!

«I feel a lot more confident now with the waves (either twintip or directional board) and I overcame my fear of them - though a good amount of healthy respect is still there :)
Challenging conditions, heaps of fun while kitesurfing and also amazing non-windy days, relaxed and really good vibe in the group, good organisation of everything in advance but also flexible concerning the wind and the needs of the group.
I would recommend BIG BLUE Boards trips to any woman who wants to kitesurf and improve her skills»
«It was very good and on point. Theory and practice got very smooth together. Will benefit from the tips and tricks - even if not everything turned out yet, really happy I started this new journey. Now it's „practice practice practice“.
Excellence in: organization, spot, activities, food, coaching
Thank you, I had a wonderful time!»

If you don't wanna ride a directional kiteboard, you can also join the camp with your twintip for sure. Our participants took both boards with them to be flexible according to the conditions. The kite coaching will be adjusted according to your personal goals.
