A lot of kiteboarders worry about their kite, their board and
their bar the kite harness is often overlooked.
Choosing but choosing the proper harness can be the key to more comfortable, safe and fun sessions. We help you finding the best fitting harness for you.
Choose according to your figure, style of riding and also your level.
Seat harness vs. Waist harness
Most beginners prefer a seat harness with leg straps.
As a beginner, you have the kite up at 12 a lot.
A seat harness stays low on your torso and prevents
you from hurting ribs, chest or having breathing
difficulties while riding.
+ More stability
+ Lower towing point
+ No riding up the chest
For skinny ladies or those with
square shape type of torso, it is a smart choice.
And good news! They no longer look like diapers
and come in beautiful shapes, or with board shorts.
If you feel limited by the seat harness while you progress,
you can always change your spreader bar for a spreader bar
with a sliding rope.
Waist harness is a perfect choice for advanced kite ladies
or those with a curvy torso. There are many types of harnesses
which you can select from.
Remember, a good waist harness allows you to move freely.
A waist harness can give you a better riding position
while riding toe side, in blind position and
particularly riding in waves.
+ Full leg freedom
+ better torso maneuverability
+ easier to put on
+ more comfortable when swimming or at the beach
If you have shorter body, we highly recommend you to use narrow
harnesses like Mystic GEM Hard Shell, or Mystic Dazzled
Semi Hard Shell Harness.
So, go ahead and choose from different price ranges,
sizes, and stiffness, the one which will literally have your back!
